St. Joseph’s Special Education Centre (SSEC) is an independent day school for pupils aged from 3 to 19 with specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, cerebral palsy, dyspraxia and ADD/ADHD, autistic spectrum condition, social communication difficulties and other associated needs.
The teaching and integrated therapy at SSEC focuses on supporting the challenges faced by students with Special Educational Needs, such as working memory, processing speed, executive functioning, sensory processing, social communication needs, as well as the impact these may have on a student’s confidence and self esteem.
The school provides a warm, nurturing and aspirational learning environment where the specific individual learning needs of our students are fully supported in a mainstream styled environment. At SSEC we provide an integrated, whole-school multidisciplinary approach to meeting the needs of students with unique learning profiles based on understanding your child’s individual needs, nurturing their academic and social development and caring for their well being.

Our school is located at Mbezi Beach Africana, on the main Bagamoyo Road, right next to JC Hall and within close proximity of the public transport stations.
